🐹 Hamster Lego Fun and Easy Stop Motion Activity

No matter your age, this is such a fun activity - especially if you love hamsters. If you love Lego even better, it's a double win.
For around £9 ($10US), you can buy the Lego Creator 3 in 1 hamster set (31376). Once you've built the hamster, you can also turn it into an eagle or a hedgehog, which makes it really good value for money.

🧱 My Build Experience
I haven't built Lego in years and I really had so much fun.
It's changed a lot since I last played with it - there are so many new pieces and I loved how interactive this little build is. You can move:
• The hamster's ears
• The face
• The little paws
• The flower
It's a quick and easy build, thanks to the simple step by step instructions that come with it.
🎬 Turning It Into a Fun Activity
Once I had finished building it, I tried something new - my first ever stop motion animation!
I used the Stop Motion Studio app (free version), and it was pretty straightforward to get started.
The app has lots of short tutorials, so it's easy to pick up.
📱 How I Did It
This is the basic process I followed:
• I filmed in 9:16 format so I could upload it to my YouTube channel Cosmic Hamsters.
• Took 14 photos for each second
• Moved the hamster slightly between each photo
• Focused on moving:
- the hamsters ears
- the head
- and its body (side to side and forward)
💡 Top Tips I Learned
To make your animation look smoother and more professional:
• Use spotlights to shine on your subject
• Close any curtains/blinds
• Switch off other lights in the room
This helps reduce shadows and flickering.

📣 Final Thoughts
All in all, I had fun creating my first stop motion animation, and would highly recommend it as:
• A fun Saturday afternoon activity
• Something creative to do with kids
• Or maybe even a fun date night
